It saw the return the return of my sew-jo and had me thinking more about what I wear on a daily basis vs what I actually sew.
I owe a lot of my mojo and my foray into more everyday clothing to Me Made May.
Previously, I only wore my makes to fancy occasions and evening events, thanks to my obsession with sewing evening wear.
Me Made May made me look at what I actually wear on a daily basis and reinvent items that I'd previously made but hardly wore. It gave me a new appreciation for my hard work, a new zest for wearing more of my own creations, and exposed what me-made items were lacking from my wardrobe.
Below are the garments that I made in 2018.

Thanks for all your encouragement in 2018!
P.s. Below is a look at my first make for the new year ... and it's a PRINT!
Love all your makes Julz. Plus it gives me hope that at some point (post baby) I WILL be able to sew more! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much lovely lady!! It definitely happens! I felt like 2018 was the year that everything suddenly got easier with the kids; Ashley is not a baby anymore and that meant all of a sudden I could actually sew while they were around, rather than have to organise a babysitter!
